Gregota Music LLC was founded in 1985 by Hayward Gregory Sr. Through the years, Gregota Music started to ascend into the music industry and is affiliated with ASCAP, BMI, The Harry Fox Agency, The National Music Publishing Association, Song Trust, Sound Exchange and Easy Song Licensing as a record and music publishing company.  Since 2003, Gregota Music LLC has acquired many music catalogs. Some of the catalogs consist of several "Clarence Fountain of The Blind Boys of Alabama", Greg Kelly works of  "The Supreme Angels", Dwight Fields of the "Manhattans", Willie Johnson of the "Morning Stars of Savannah Ga", Arika Kane and other musical works. Gregotas' vast music catalogs are all available for licensing with its affiliated music licensing partners. Gregota Music Publishing also licensed its music to major record labels such as Capitol Records, Philadelphia International Record/The Right Stuff (aka Gamble and Huff), Compendia Music Group, Light Records, BMG Music, Summit Cross Records, EMI, House of Blues and many others. Beside running a publishing company, Gregota Music signed many distribution and synchronization deals.  In 2019, Gregota signed a synchronization deal with a London based company to use a song from its music catalog performed by Clarence Fountain & The Blind Boys of Alabama.  The song entitled "Heard The Angels Moan" was performed in the NETFLIX series "Sex Education". Other releases includes songs for its record label of performances by (The Blind Boys of Alabama, entitled "Rare Classic", "Gregota Golden Gospel", "Journey On"), (Haywood & Jeannie Gregory, "White XMAS Blues", "The Haywood Gregory Collection Vol 2", "Shadez of Da Blues") and (Al B Sosa " Ride Wit Me") . Due to Gregota's vast genre of music, Gregota Gospel was formed to manage its christian  musical works. Gregota Music representation of many writers, required the company to affiliate itself with BMI.  Haygota Music Publishing (BMI) a division of Gregota Music enabled the company to represent and protect its affiliated BMI writers. Gregota Music Publishing continue to manage its ASCAP writers musical works.  Gregota Music LLC is a small company dedicated in bringing you good music of all genre and the protection of writers musical rights.

HAYWARD GREGORY II - Artist, Songwriter, Guitarist, Composer & Producer

Haywood Gregory, a native of Savannah GA., began singing in churches and public schools at the age of seven, and it had been merely a few years before he became a professional singer at the age of fourteen. Some of his many accolades include having performed with Morgan Freeman, The Blind Boys of Alabama and The Soul Stirrers (1988) in the Broadway hit play "GOSPEL AT COLONUS" at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City, touring throughout the United States and Europe performing at various festivals such as the Newport Jazz Festival (RI), the 36th Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), and the 20th Savannah Jazz Festival (GA)., and numerous appearances on the Joe Franklin Show. Haywood made his big screen movie debut, singing in the hit movie "THE KING OF NEW YORK" starring Christopher Walken. Haywood has recorded on numerous albums, some include the 1997 "LAST CONCERT CD" with Eddie Harris and Bernard Purdie in Cologne Germany, the Killer Joe CD, "SCENE OF THE CRIME", distributed by BMG Music, and HAYWOOD & JEANNE C. GREGORY "SWINGING WITH THE ROMERO BROTHERS". Haywood has shared center stage with such notables as Bruce Springsteen, Carl Perkins, Dion, Bruce Willis, Freddie Jackson, Tony Bennett, Liza Minnelli, Lionel Hampton, Bobby Watson, Buddy Guy, The Oak Ridge Boys, Otis Blackwell, Ronnie Dove, Issac Hayes, George Coleman, BB King, The Drifters, The Marvelettes, The Blues Jumpers, and many more great stars.  

Haywood other accolades includes his performances on various television show and series:

  • "Vise Grip On My Heart" televised on Baby Story, Chicago PD, Houston Beauty, Party Planner with David Tutera, Velvet and So You Think You Can Dance  
  • "21st Century Soul Man" televised on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Mr. Hockey, Velvet, Wheeler Dealers and So You Think You Can Dance
  • "I Need Money" televised on Bizarre Foods America, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Make Over Story, The Oprah Winfrey Show and Mr. Hockey. 

Haywood is a patriot, who has been awarded two resolutions from the New Jersey General Assembly, and the New Jersey State Senate for being a world class musician and family man. In 2007, Haywood was nominated at the 38th Annual GMA Dove Awards as a producer for Traditional Gospel Album and Traditional Recorded Gospel Song of the Year for The Blind Boys of Alabama album entitled "Rare Classics".   

HAYWARD GREGORY III - Guitarist, Composer, Songwriter, Producer and Recording Engineer

Hayward Gregory III, a native of Savannah Ga., began playing guitar at the age of 4.  By age 13, Hayward utilized his skills as a freelance guitarist for local churches and performed with various gospel groups.  

As a guitarist, Hayward performed on stage as a lead and bass guitarist for the Echoes of Harmony of Jersey City, NJ as well as a bass man with his father at various gospel and blues venues to include the 20th Savannah Jazz Festival in Savannah (GA). Hayward has also shared the stage with several major gospel artists such as The Blind Boys of Alabama, Shirley Caesar, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Violinaires , The Dixie Hummingbirds, and The Jackson Southernaire to name a few.  

In (2005) and (2014) respectively, Hayward produced/co-produced several self-released albums off his family label,  “THE HAYWOOD GREGORY COLLECTION VOL. 1&2”, “RARE CLASSIC RECORDINGS” (2005), RARE CLASSIC (2006), “FAITH MOVES MOUNTAINS (2010)” Clarence Fountain & The Blind Boys of Alabama, Sam Butler and “SHADEZ OF DA BLUZ” (2012) artist Haywood Gregory guest starring Jeannie C. Gregory. 

In 2007, Hayward was nominated with his father Hayward Sr. at the 38th Annual GMA Dove Awards as a producer for Traditional Gospel Album and Traditional Recorded Gospel Song of the Year for The blind boys of Alabama album entitled Rare Classics. 

Hayward collaborates and network with various record labels and distributors on different projects, such as Compendia Music Group, The Right Stuff aka Philadelphia International Records (Gamble and Huff), Alliant Music Group and Central South Distribution. 

Hayward has achieved his “Associate Degree in Social Science” from Tidewater Community College in Norfolk Va. (2015) and a “Bachelor Degree in Music Production” from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Fl. (2018)
